Free Publication
"Free Journal" should be used only for those journals which are free for article publication and does not charge any kind of fee (or article processing charge, APC) from author to publish their research work In fact, using term ‘Free journal’ for those whose only published articles are available freely confuses authors with free publication (where does not need to pay for publishing).
Open Access
Open access (OA) refers to freely available, digital, online information. Open access
scholarly literature is free of charge and often carries less restrictive copyright and
licensing barriers than traditionally published works, for both the users and the
authors.
While OA is a newer form of scholarly
publishing, many OA journals comply with well-established peer-review processes and
maintain high publishing standards.
