Abstract
Recruitment primarily focuses on all efforts undertaken by an organization to attract potential employees. This being the foremost function of Human Resource Department is also very crucial for procuring the best talent for the appropriate job. With the advent of technology in all aspects of walks of life, HR department is also affected by e-business in various forms. e-Recruitment is one of those technological developments which have changed the way recruitment is done in a very short span of time. As the number of internet users’ increase in our country and that too with the youngest population in the world, it is critical for organizations in India to understand the pros and cons of using the online recruitment systems for sustaining in this competitive scenario. This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of e-recruitment and the various avenues available online for effective recruitment.
